Frequently Asked

How can my team/athlete/program get assistance from FAL?

We are currently redesigning our application process so please reach out directly by email or phone.   FAL evaluates each family’s needs and situation.  Applications are addressed on a needs and first-come, first-serve basis as funds are available.

Contact us at: 225.931.6154 or info@futureathletesofla.org

Does FAL help individual athletes?

Yes, we can help individual athletes.  However, any payments for registration fees, uniform, or equipment, will be made directly to the organization or uniform/equipment vendor.

What types of expenses does FAL help pay for?

We help with youth sports registration fees, equipment, uniforms, and other associated costs.

How do I make a donation?

Or mail a check to:
Future Athletes of Louisiana
P.O. Box 415
Denham Springs, LA. 70727

Check with your company Human Resources department to see if they support charitable giving through matching gifts or payroll deductions. If Future Athletes of Louisiana is not already set up at your company, we can be added with our Tax ID number: 20-1486150

How is the money I donate used?

Monetary donations allow us to get more kids from income-restricted families and communities to participate in youth athletics by paying for registration fees, equipment, uniforms, and other associated costs.

Who benefits from your financial assistance program and what geographic area is served?

Families and communities who lack sufficient resources to pay for youth sports registration fees, equipment, uniforms, and other associated costs benefit from our financial assistance program.  We focus on youth located in Louisiana.

Do you accept donations of new or used sports equipment?

To keep overhead low, we currently do not accept or store new or used sports equipment unless we are collecting items for an upcoming fundraising or sporting event.  When a recipient needs a piece of equipment, FAL purchases the item and arranges for delivery to or pick-up by the athlete’s family.

Can I volunteer for Future Athletes of Louisiana?

Yes, there are many ways to volunteer for Future Athletes of Louisiana!  We periodically need volunteers to help with fundraising events.  Students can also organize a school team or group fundraiser to help FAL get more kids involved with sports.  If you are interested in volunteering, please contact us at info@futureathletesofla.org.
